MamaCITA Artist Cooperative Celebrates 10 Years with a group solo show at Cheltenham Center for the Arts.

Artist Reception– Sunday, September 25, 2016, 4-6PM

MamaCITA, a mothers’ cooperative in the arts, is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a group solo exhibition at the Cheltenham Center for the Arts. The exhibit will be open from September 18- October 15, 2016 with an opening reception on Sunday, September 25 from 4-6pm at the art center.

Current and past members will exhibit work in– MamaCITA 10.  Along with individual artist’s work, the cooperative will be interactively highlighting the interviews and posts of their Featured Member project, accompanied by images and information from the group’s past collaborative work. MamaCITA currently has 20 local and 4 affiliated artists from Boston to Virginia.

Current members will also be creating a collaborative work that incorporates socires of connected cylindrical pieces. The artists envision the multi-sized cylinders, fabricated in a variety of mediums, as a mirror of the hive created by their cooperative.
