Trisheena Bolakale

My work explores the stories we inherit, the histories we carry, and the connections that shape who we become.

Through symbolism, color, poetry, and ancestral storytelling, I create pieces that honor memory, healing, and the brilliance passed through generations.

Inspired by African diasporic traditions, Adinkra wisdom, and lived experience, my art transforms personal and collective stories into visual conversations. Each piece is an invitation to reflect, remember, and reconnect – with ourselves, with each other, and with those who came before us.
My Sankofa is rooted in my Nia: I look back with purpose, create in the present, and imagine a future where our stories continue to shine.
