Kimberly Mehler

Kimberly Mehler is a Philadelphia-area artist working in several mediums, with an emphasis on watercolor, murals, and wax-resist dyeing. As her sister Tracy put it, she picked up her crayons at age 4 and never looked back! She draws inspiration from forms found in nature, and the mystery and meaning of the microscopic world.

Kimberly earned her BFA from Moore College of Art in 1981 and has worked as an Art Director for design firms, ad agencies, and in the Exhibits Department at The Franklin Institute Science Museum. Currently, she exhibits watercolors in Philadelphia and the surrounding region, and has work in public, private, and corporate collections.

Kimberly has created murals for clients such as CHOP and SEPTA and been the recipient (along with 4 member collaborators) of two Leeway Grants for Art and Change, and three PA Cultural Alliance grants (in conjunction with Cheltenham Township). She lives in Abington with her husband George, they have three children.
